The Asia Pacific School Psychology Association (APSPA) was launched during the First International Conference on School Psychology held at Hotel Grand Seasons, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 11th January 2019 by Dr. Panch. Ramalingam. The members of the core committee unanimously resolved to form office bearers of the Association with available school psychologists from different countries for the promotion of school psychology services in the Asia Pacific region. This will cater to the needs of promotion of common school psychology services in the Asia Pacific region especially in the area of mental health and well-being.

Conference Objectives

The objectives of the 6th APSPA International Conference 2024 is to raise visibility on the importance of positive mental health and well-being among children and youth and to provide a multidisciplinary platform to discuss issues related to transformative learning experiences related to psychology and education.

  • Special Education and Inclusive Practices: Advancing knowledge and strategies for inclusive education, with a focus on special education, assistive technologies, and personalized teaching methodologies for students with disabilities.
  • Bullying, Trauma, and Addiction in Counseling Psychology: Exploring research on bullying, cyberbullying, trauma, and therapeutic interventions for trauma, abuse, and various addictions.
  • The Arts in Education: Investigating the role of visual, performing, and digital arts in fostering creativity, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence within educational environments.
  • Educational Innovations and Outcomes: Examining new pedagogical strategies, educational technologies, and approaches to assessing educational outcomes in diverse contexts.
  • Psychological Foundations of Learning: Understanding the cognitive, emotional, and social dimensions of learning and their implications for student well-being.
  • Leadership and Entrepreneurship in Education: Analyzing the impact of leadership, management, and entrepreneurial approaches on educational innovation and improvement.
  • Language, Culture, and Identity in Education: Exploring the effects of language acquisition, cultural integration, and identity formation on learning and development.
  • Philosophical Foundations of Education: Delving into the ethical, philosophical, and critical thinking aspects of education and their influence on moral reasoning and educational practices.
  • Curriculum and Instruction: innovations in curriculum design, challenges in curriculum implementation, methods and tools for assessing curriculum effectiveness, international perspectives and trends in curriculum design, development of curricula to meet diverse student needs.
  • Educational Administration and Leadership: emerging trends and best practices, strategies and practices for leading schools towards improvement and excellence, navigating ethical challenges in school administration and leadership, approaches to nurturing and developing leadership skills in educators and administrators,
